'Delighted to have been able to host our first graduate level 4 awards.  A lot of work by the candidates and a deserved certificate at the end of it all. Hope it will encourage more to take it on'. - Peter A Brend Snr.

This Higher Apprenticeship in Hospitality Management has been developed for managers seeking to improve their leadership and management skills and to gain appropriate qualifications for their job role.

It involves a combination of off the job training supported by on the job learning, coaching and assessment. Managed self-study is integrated into the employer’s requirement and can be a useful tool for succession planning and staff recruitment.

Applicants for this Higher Apprenticeship programme should have sufficient experience of working in the hospitality industry at a supervisory or management level. This ensures they have the necessary foundations on which to develop their knowledge, managerial skills and leadership.

The awards ceremony was held at Saunton Sands Hotel, home of the Brend Training Academy. The evening was celebrated with a special menu and a private dinner for the delegates and was attended by the CEO of HIT Training, Jill Whittaker and the Directors of the Academy Peter Brend Snr. and Matthew Brend as well as Academy Principle, Andrew Mosedale and Higher Apprenticeship Trainer, Hilary Mosedale.

The afternoon also saw awards for the Academy's Level 2/3 Apprentices. Students were presented certificates who then followed on to enjoy a cream tea at the hotel.
