Easter is an exciting time in Devon, as the natural beauty of the area shines out for all to see. It’s the perfect chance to play on the beach and discover hidden bays and coves, hike and admire the views across the moors, explore the quaint villages and towns of Devon and enjoy time together as a family. Then there’s a range of activities and events taking place, as our guide to what’s on in Devon this Easter will demonstrate.

Crealy Adventure Park

Exeter, Devon

This fun filled family day out will be hosting their biggest ever Easter egg hunt over the long weekend, starting 30th March to 8th April. Children can follow clues around the park and if they find them all, a chocolate prize awaits! Buttons the Bunny will be there too along with the full range of Crealy Park rides, attractions and live shows.

Also, Marshall from Paw Patrol will be visiting the park between the 9th and 13th April, perfect for the little ones!


Hartland, North Devon

Clovelly is a cobbled gem, a village stuck in time that has no cars down its streets. Take a step back through history during the school break, where children are challenged to find all fifteen of their hidden Easter chicks! Upon entry, children will receive a village map to mark the locations of the Easter chicks perched around the cottages - prizes await those who find them.

Take the opportunity to stroll the street down to the quay, enjoy food and drink in the pubs, and learn about the past of this privately owned working village!

RHS Rosemoor

Torrington, North Devon

Take your pick from a range of events at this beautiful garden that boasts a plethora of seasonal walks and stunning flower beds. Visit What’s On at RHS Rosemoor for the complete list of all their events through the school holidays, but highlights include Lindt Gold Bunny Hunts and a special drive in movie night!

The Milky Way Adventure Park and The Big Sheep

Nr. Bideford, North Devon

Easter activities and all-weather fun will fill your days at both of these attractions. The Milky Way Adventure Park has a whole holiday’s worth of Easter fun until the 12th April. The Easter Bunny will be there in his special Easter Grotto and egg hunts will keep everyone busy between other fun and games.

At The Big Sheep, they’re putting on an Eggstravaganza Festival and egg hunt. Plus, their animal barn is full of cute baby chicks, roosters, pygmy goats, pups, piglets and fluffy bunnies.

Exmoor Zoo

Exmoor, North Devon

The popular Exmoor Zoo is a quaint and well filled zoo with a wide range of species, including cheetahs, wolves, alpacas, monkeys, wallabies and the famous “Exmoor Beast” - the black leopard!

Go wild at Easter until 15th April, they’ll be doing their Easter trail hunt, an added dynamic when exploring the zoo.

The Donkey Sanctuary

Sidmouth, Devon

Lucky the Easter Donkey has been hiding eggs around the free-to-visit Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth. Guests are invited to embark on an eggciting adventure around the sanctuary and discover which donkeys are full of the joys of spring to win a tasty treat.

Alongside their Easter Holiday Hunt they’re running a daily programme of activities for all to enjoy during the school holidays, including guided tours, donkey talks, demonstrations and must visit points of interest. Also, on the 31st March they have a Tea in the Paddock event, to celebrate the launch of new attractions. Little ones are in for a treat with a FREE ice cream for every child alongside all things donkeys.

World of Country Life

Exmouth, Devon

A family owned attraction aimed towards younger children, World of Country Life is a mix of adorable animals, museums, play areas and entertainment.

Their Easter Holiday Fun programme runs from the 30th March to the 15th April when they’ll have a traditional Easter Egg trail with prizes and a host of daily activities that includes bottle feeding animals, goat walking and meeting new animal babies in the Pet Centre and Animal Nursery.

Pennywell Farm

Buckfastleigh, Devon

Also offering a range of fluffy animals, Pennywell Farm on the edge of Dartmoor has an eggcellent Easter planned between 30th March to 15th April. Whatever date you visit expect to meet Easter babies, pond dip for tadpoles, cuddle pets, cheer on the racing pigs and enjoy a full line-up of top notch entertainment with two daily shows.
