In the Housekeeping Standard, apprentices learn:
- How to clean and maintain a variety of bedroom styles, communal areas and materials The importance of responsibility using cleaning equipment
- Cleaning techniques, chemicals and agents used, and ensuring that the appearance of rooms and external areas meet Brend Hotel standards.
Apprentices will be expected to clean and maintain bedrooms and public areas including furniture, fixtures and fittings, soft and hard flooring, plus identify and report maintenance needs and check that outcomes of work meet Brend Hotel standards for presentation.

30/40 hours per week
Further Progression:
You could continue on to the Management Academy and the Level 3 qualification, Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship or Team Leader, with a view to become an assistant housekeeper and progress on to head housekeeper.
