North Devon County Show 2018
We're looking forward to The North Devon County Show as it returns for 2018 with the usual Devon blend of attractions, exhibitions, trade stands, craft and food.
As always, it celebrates all things rural, acting as the premier agricultural event in the region that has something for everyone.
Keep an eye out for the classes; Alpacas, Beef and Dairy Cattle, Sheep, Horse Showing Classes and Show Jumping, plus Pony Club Games and Young Handler competitions. Visitors can also expect to enjoy an Open Dog Show and Poultry Display.
There will also be a wide variety of stands, offering trades of all types. Make sure you visit the Food Hall and the Crafts and Gifts Marquee.
Also, there will be demonstrations in the Rural Skills and Country Pursuits arenas, some Vintage Cards and Tractors, The North Devon WI Summer Competition and a Young Farmers Rally.
It's a lot to fill one day, but seeing it all is a real treat. Guests can have a great time wandering the grounds and taking in as much as possible.
Set in a flat site of approximately 50 acres, the show is easy to access and movability for all is good but expect mud underfoot. Gates open at 8am before the show officially starts at 8.30am.
Visit their website for more details.
If you need accommodation around the event, it's just a short drive to Barnstaple, Bideford or Saunton where we have a selection of hotels on hand for guests to stay in.
They provide a convenient location to spend one night or two. Of course, as our guest, you can enjoy three or four-star hotel luxury with exquisite dining and delightful bedrooms. Plus make use of the Barnstaple Collection if staying in the town, along with a range of discounts to key North Devon attractions - offering discounts to our guests.
