Award Winning Carlyon Bay - Awarded Best for Families in the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2019

We are delighted to share The Carlyon Bay Hotel news that they have been crowned the Best for Families in the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2019.

The Johansens Awards are created to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across their recommended properties. Their world-renowned Awards for Excellence are a trusted mark of quality recognised by consumers and travel professionals alike.

Being awarded the Best for Families is an achievement the whole team should be very proud to receive, especially as The Carlyon Bay Hotel, along with all 11 of our hotels, remains a genuine family business with the Brend Family being closely involved in the day to day running of the hotels.

The hotel director, Mr Matthew Brend, has personally thanked the whole team for all their effort and hard work over the past few years:

"Without you, we would not have been able to achieve these awards and the continuing success and guest satisfaction that we are achieving".

The award was collected by General Manager Mr Ali Ennaji, at the awards in London, which celebrates the best hotels across the world.

But that's just the start...

The team also attended the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2018 at the start of November and won two awards there as well.

They were honoured with Silver in the Spa, Pampering and Wellbeing experience of the Year Award, and Silver in Large Hotel of the Year Award.

Celebrating everything to do with tourism in Cornwall, awards are given to businesses who shine in their field. After 7 months of assessing and a rigorous 3-phase judging process, 80 awards were presented across 26 different categories.

For Carlyon Bay to walk away with two awards from such a huge field is a big achievement, and again highlights how loved the hotel is within Cornwall.
