Room to Reward

We recently started a new partnership with Room to Reward, a unique charity that donates rooms to volunteers in the charity sector.  As long-time supporters of local causes, Brend Collection hotels will now welcome these dedicated volunteers, nominated by organisations across the UK, in recognition of their hard work and dedication.

Charity Golf Days

Throughout the year, we host charity golf days at the Carlyon Bay Hotel's Championship golf course. We support causes like Cornwall Air Ambulance & Children's Hospice South West. These charity golf days are more than just events; they are opportunities for us to engage with our community, raise awareness for important causes, and contribute to the well-being of those in need.

North Devon Hospice Nighwalk

On Saturday 11th May, our head office team walked 10-miles from Bideford to Barnstaple, in a heartfelt show of support for the North Devon Hospice Nightwalk. As headline sponsors of this inspiring event, we are proud to have helped raise £1,355 for a charity that does so much for our community.

By partnering with organisations like Plastic Free North Devon and the North Devon Biosphere, we strive to make a meaningful difference. We also encourage our staff to participate in litter-picking initiatives in the towns and communities where we operate, reinforcing our commitment for community engagement.

Inspiring our leaders of tomorrow

Teaming up with HIT Training, the leading specialist training and apprenticeship provider in the UK's hospitality industry, the Brend Academy has successfully trained over 330 apprentices to date. This represents more than a quarter of our workforce! With a diverse range of level 2, 3, and 4 courses available, it's our commitment to nurturing the aspirations of young minds in the industry.

Sportsman's Dinner

For the past decade, the Brend Collection has proudly supported North Devon Hospice by organising an annual Sportsman's Dinner. In November 2023, we raised an impressive £19,500 in one evening, with £17,500 going to North Devon Hospice and £2,000 to Sands charity. Over the years, our efforts have contributed a total of £130,000 to these worthy causes.
